Terry VanDeWalle is senior principal biologist with Stantec Consulting Services and an adjunct natural resources instructor at Hawkeye Community College. VanDeWalle has been conducting research on Iowa’s reptiles and amphibians for more than thirty years, working closely with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He is author of The Natural History of the Snakes and Lizards of Iowa (Iowa, 2022). He lives in Brandon, Iowa.
