Poems and stories by Lon Otto have appeared in the Michigan Quarterly Review, Atlantic Review, Gallimaufry, and other publications. He received a B.A. from Pomona College and a Ph.D. from Inidan University and won an Academy of American Poets First Prize and a Minnesota State Arts Board Award for Fiction Writing.
