Ian McGuire is the co-director of the Centre for New Writing at the University of Manchester. He writes both fiction and literary criticism. His novel Incredible Bodies was published by Bloomsbury in 2006 and he has published essays and short stories in journals and magazines including The Chicago Review, The Mississippi Quarterly, The Paris Review, and The Journal of American Studies. He lives in Manchester, England, with his wife and two daughters.
