Roger J. Bulger is president and professor of internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School and was formerly chancellor and dean of the Medical School at the University of Massachusetts. He has served as executive officer of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1981 he received the American Academy of Family Practice President’s Award.
