Robert Weir is director of the Program in Biomedical Ethics and Medical Humanities at the University of Iowa College of Medicine and professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the School of Religion. He is the coeditor of Genes and Human Self-Knowledge: Historical and Philosophical Reflections on Modern Genetics (Iowa, 1994).
