Henry Weinfield
Biography
Henry Weinfield is a professor in the Program of Liberal Studies and the Department of English at Notre Dame. A poet, translator, and literary scholar, he is the author of several collections of poetry, including Without Mythologies: New and Selected Poems and Translations. He has also published a translation of and commentary on the Collected Poems of Stéphane Mallarmé and, with Catherine Schlegel, a translation of Hesiod’s Theogony and Works and Days. In addition, he is the author of The Poet without a Name: Gray's "Elegy" and the Problem of History and numerous scholarly articles.
