Kathleen Woida worked as a geologist in Utah, New Mexico, and Iowa for twenty-six years with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. Prior to that she taught at the University of Northern Iowa and Earlham College. Woida is currently an associate professor at the University of Iowa, and lives in Des Moines, Iowa.
