Greta Nettleton is the author of The Quack’s Daughter: A True Story About the Private Life of a Victorian College Girl, named Book of the Year for 2018 by the Library Association of Rockland County. A 2017 fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, she has also been a featured speaker for the University of Iowa History of Medicine Society. She holds a BA in History from Duke University and an MA from the University of Texas at Austin and lives in Palisades, NY. She is currently at work on The Charmed Line: The Struggles of a 19th Century Woman Physician, a biography of Mrs. Dr. Rebecca Keck, whose controversial forty-year career from 1860–1900 began with folk practice and ended with the dawn of modern medicine.
