Exam & Desk Copies

Examination Copy Policy

All requests from instructors for examination copies must be submitted on departmental letterhead. Please include the course title and number, approximate enrollment, semester or quarter when the course will next be taught, and the frequency with which the course will be offered (annually, irregularly, etc.). If this is a new course, please estimate the class size and expected frequency.

Examination copies are $5.00 each for titles under $20.00 and $10.00 each for titles costing $20.00 and over. There are no additional charges. Checks should be made payable to the University of Iowa Press. We also accept payment by VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

The University of Iowa Press reserves the right to limit the number of books sent to an individual in a year and may limit the quantity of examination copies distributed of a particular title. Examination copies may not be returned.

Desk Copy Policy

All requests for desk copies must be submitted on departmental letterhead or on an appropriate form. Please include the course title and number, approximate enrollment, and semester or quarter when the course will be taught. Please also include the name of the bookstore where the order will be placed. The University of Iowa Press will provide a complimentary desk copy for an order of at least ten books.
