Iowa City, Iowa—The University of Iowa Press is proud to announce that as of May 15, 2009, it will be offering a select group of its titles as e-books, available directly from the publisher's website. In conjunction with its distribution partner, the Chicago Distribution Center, and BiblioVault, a digital content repository hosted by the University of Chicago Press, the press will act as a beta client for CDC in its initial forays into direct to consumer e-book fulfillment. Since 2006, "Iowa Writes" has featured the work of Iowa-identified writers on The Daily Palette, and it has recently expanded its scope to include work published by Iowa journals and publishers.
